AP Calculus
AP Calculus AB is a fast-paced, college-level mathematics course where students explore the fundamental concepts of calculus, including limits, derivatives, and integrals. Rather than simply applying formulas, students learn to analyze how and why mathematical models work, interpret real-world change, and solve complex problems using multiple representations—graphical, numerical, analytical, and verbal.
This course prepares students for the College Board AP Exam in May, offering the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.
What students gain:
-
A strong foundation in limits, derivatives, and definite integrals
-
The ability to model and analyze real-world situations involving change and accumulation
-
Experience justifying solutions and communicating mathematical reasoning clearly
-
Greater confidence tackling rigorous, college-level problem solving
